About Dr. Maureen O'Connor:

Dr. Maureen E. O’Connor has been a licensed Naturopathic Physician since 1996. She is passionate about educating and guiding people to improve their sense of well being, reduce pain, increase ability to function well on a daily basis with an abundance of energy, and increase their ability to live happy, fulfilling and fruitful lives.

Dr. O’Connor is the Owner of heart of health naturopathic clinic, LLC in Vancouver, Washington where she specializes in working with those who are seeking answers to health problems for which they have not found solutions and for those who are seeking to optimize their health and live well even into old age. The clinic provides a safe and caring environment that supports each person’s healing journey.

Dr. O’Connor accomplishes this through providing thorough and innovative health assessments; a wide variety of safe, effective natural therapeutic modalities and remedies; therapeutic lifestyle changes; and the education about the proper care and maintenance of the whole person – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. She creates an individualized health optimization program for each person so that they can accomplish their health goals in order to build a strong foundation for prevention of disease and creation of optimal health. These programs are built upon the foundation of the principles of Naturopathic Medicine which are: (1) That there is an inherent self-healing process in people that is ordered and intelligent which is supported by identifying and removing the obstacles to healing and recovery; (2) To identify and remove the underlying causes of illness rather than to merely eliminate or suppress symptom; (3) To seek to first do no harm by utilizing methods and substances which minimize the risk of harmful side effects and avoiding harmful suppression of symptoms; (4) To educate and encourage self-responsibility for health; and (5) To treat the whole person with a focus on prevention of disease.
