Dr. Philip Afghani is a Chiropractor who focuses on restoring the body to health naturally, by creating balance in the spine and nervous system. He educates the community on the importance of a wellness lifestyle, which includes a balanced nervous system, proper diet and exercise, and a healthy mental attitude. Our mission is to educate and empower as many people as possible to experience their optimal health potential. Dr. Afghani speaks regularly to local schools, businesses, and organizations on health, wellness, nutrition, and safety topics.
Dr. Afghani was born and raised in the Port Orange area, and has been involved in many levels of community service and civic activities. He graduated from Atlantic High School, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. He holds a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus. Dr. Afghani also consults for some of the top nutrition companies in the country, regarding optimal nutrition for better patient care, balanced health, and sickness and disease prevention.
Dr. Afghani is the Clinic Director of Atlantic Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Port Orange, and has help positions as Adjunct Professor and Faculty Clinician in the Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus Clinic. He has done extensive Post-Graduate training in nutrition and supplementation, whiplash and truamatology for patients involved in auto accidents, electrodiagnosis, neurology, detoxification and weight loss, rehabilitation, extremity adjusting, Kinesio taping, and sports medicine. Dr. Afghani has cared for professional athletes from the NFL, NHL, NBA, NASCAR, MLB, and 7 Olympic athletes. He has served as the chiropractor for NASCAR Speed Weeks 2011, team chiropractor for the LFL Orlando Fantasy, and team chiropractor for the Sintral Florida Derby Demons Roller Derby Club. Dr. Afghani has treated athletes and worked with the Sports Medicine programs for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona State College, and Bethune Cookman University, as well as many athletes from local high schools and competitive teams.

Dr. Afghani is married to his high school sweetheart Dr. Melissa Ferranti, also a Doctor of Chiropractic. They have two beautiful daughters Isabella and Callie, and a black lab named Luna. They enjoy spending time with their family, as well as hiking, camping, scuba diving, and traveling.
